The following are common questions and the answers about
The-Bar-End.com hosting.
Is The-Bar-End.com a commercial operation?
No. The-Bar-End.com is run by Edward Barend, an Australian citizen. Due
to the resources available to me (which are beyond my personal needs) I have
decided to allow Australian individuals or Australian groups or Australian associations
wishing to have a website to use these excess resources free from any
hosting charge so long as the abide by the hosting Guidelines. The service
is provided on an "as is" basis.
How is The-Bar-End.com hosting funded?
The-Bar-End.com is funded out of my own pocket. Admitably my
pockets are not deep, and saving a major event, most of the costs should be
able to be meet. If there is a need for additional funding for any reason
I will email participants to see if they wish to make a voluntary gift.
As I am not a gift receipient or a business (this service is a hobby of mine)
under the Australian Income Tax legislation it is expected that these
gifts will not be tax deductible.
How will you know if I am an Australian Resident?
Part of the initial formalities will be to obtain information about who
you are. For individuals this will require a copy of your current drivers
license or Australian Passport or other acceptable form of identification.
This information will only be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy
for The-Bar-End.com.

We already have an inexpensive web host but they only provide a very limited
amount of space for us to host our web pages. Are we able to set up a sub

photo albums?

so that you can display your event photographs so long as you abide by the hosting
Guidelines.

membership fees. These fees do not even cover the operations of the

server so long as you abide by the hosting Guidelines.

donations, courses, and Government grants. We have a large investment
portfolio in excess of one million dollars. Are we able to use your free
hosting service?

and more than able to afford a commercial hosting service.
